The Office of the Chief Scientist (“OCS” ) of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor is responsible for implementing government policy regarding the support and encouragement of industrial research and development in Israel. Israel’s primary advantage is its human potential and possesses an outstanding academic-technological infrastructure.
The mission of the OCS is to develop technology in Israel as means of fostering Israeli economic growth, encouraging technological entrepreneurship, leveraging Israel’s exceptional science-skilled resources, encouraging high added value R&, enhancing the knowledge base of Israeli high-tech industry, and promoting cooperation in R& both at the national and international levels.
