FedTech Bisnow: US, Israel Innovate Well Together
US-Israel Science & Technology Foundation director Ann Liebschutz promised earlier this year that her organization would study how well the US and Israel collaborate on innovation. The first study has been released, showing innovation work between the two is strong. The study compared innovation-related activities between the two countries and compared them to US collaboration with Korea, Singapore, Finland, Sweden, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, China, and Switzerland. The relationship consistently came out on top and it has been strong for several years, says Ann. So why study the innovation links? The Middle Eastern country dedicates the highest portion of its GDP to R&D in the world and it creates the most high-tech startups per capita. In other words, when it comes to innovation, we want Israel to be our BFF.
